At Skaggs Appliance LLC, we believe in complete transparency when it comes to service.

Our standard travel and diagnostic charge of $139.50 for Louisville Metro and Southern Indiana covers sending a factory-trained technician to your home to inspect your appliance, diagnose the issue, and provide a full repair estimate including parts and labor. An additional $10.00 charge is applied for zip codes 40014, 40023, 40031, 40047, 40056, 40065, 40067, 40071, 40014.

Because there are more than 180,000 appliance parts in our industry, our service vehicles are stocked with the most commonly used components; however, it isn’t possible to carry every part on board.

For specialty or built-in appliances—such as Bosch dishwashers, built-in refrigerators, or wall ovens—we often pre-order parts from local suppliers whenever possible. This increases our chances of completing the repair on the first visit, especially since these appliances may need to be carefully removed and reinstalled.

If you decide not to move forward with the repair after diagnosis, you are only responsible for the travel and diagnostic fee.

When scheduling service, providing your model and serial number allows our office staff to research the correct parts and speed up the process. For older appliances, we can also check parts availability in advance. If parts have been discontinued, we’ll let you know before scheduling so you can make an informed decision about repairing or replacing the unit.
